Goodbye Versys

Sold my Kawasaki Versys 650 today after hardly use it for the last six months. I only clocked 3000+ km on it.
Will replace it with something practical for my daily commuting ride.

Camera Mount on Versys 2010

Having free the RAM mount from GPS usage, I can now use it for the camera.
Above is the Kodak Playsport, great camera its much cheaper than GoPro but still give superb HD 1080p video with still and waterproof. It has a viewing window for instant playback or just monitoring the shots.

I'm using the Slik DQ-10 as camera plate attached to RAM ball adapter.

Garmin Nuvi on the Versys 2012

Finally I manage to mount the GPS where it should have been, I was using the RAM mount earlier however its not exactly on line of sight so for bike riding its not that good.
What I need to do is mount the unit above the clock, there is where we are looking most of the time and to take our eyes off to view the GPS only require minimum diversion.
What I use are common hardware bracket to hold the Nuvi cradle with bracket mounted to Versys dash using the standard mounting holes where the plastic rivet suppose to be located.
Above are the items needed and a few screws. No damage to bike, no drilling or bending of any parts. It can be classified as "Non Destructive Installation" only items needed to be removed are the two plastics rivet below.
Bracket mounted using this screw, however to get to the front part for the nut. The screen and instrument front cover need to be remove.
With instrument shield removed the nuts are easily installed to secure the brackets.
That is it, the complete installation, video will follow below.
